Hamburg Masters
Coria, one of the favourites for winning the French Open, admitted that he was fatigued going into the match.
The Argentine had played all the Masters Events, including Barcelona, Monte Carlo and Rome, and reached at least the quarter-finals in the the three, and was feeling the stress against Federer.
"I'm tired mentally and physically," he said. "If you are not 100 percent against Federer it's pretty much impossible to beat him."
With the ouster of Coria, Federer is the the only top 10 seed left at Hamburg, thus making him an overwhelming favourite to win his third Rothenbaum title in four years.
