The class of Chelsea

Chelsea skipper John Terry (right) and midfielder Frank Lampard, who figured in all the league matches this season, gave their best every time they stepped onto the field.

Lampard got both goals on Saturday against Bolton Wanderers to cap a wonderful season and take over as the club's top scorer with 18 goals.

Terry has a fierce loyalty for the club he joined 10 years ago as a schoolboy. He is the central figure around which the team revolves.

Chelsea have conceded only 13 league goals this season and most of the credit goes to their central defender, Terry.

The 24-year-old has also developed a nack of scoring goals this season as he mustered eight in all competitions, mostly from set pieces.

It hardly came as a surprise when he was voted as the Player of the Year by his peers last Sunday.
