There is an Indian contribution in the shape of in London's successful bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games.
Appointed by the British Government to the high-powered 12-member board that led the campaign for the Olympic bid by the British city, the NRI industrialist has been camping in Singapore with Prime Minister Tony Blair and other members for the last three days.
Delighted at the award of the Games to London, which he has made his home since 1967, Lord Paul said, "It's a wonderful feeling, we are all elated."
