The win gave Bhupathi his seventh grand slam doubles title and his second Wimbledon mixed doubles crown, adding to the one he won in 2002 with Russian Elena Likhovtseva.
France's Pierce doubled her doubles tally, her only previous grand slam title coming on home soil at Roland Garros alongside Swiss Martina Hingis in 2000.
