Duncan leads Spurs to 11th home win

Tim Duncan scored 25 points to inspire the San Antonio Spurs to their 11th straight home victory, a 98-95 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

Manu Ginobili added 22 points for the Spurs, who are an NBA-best 19-1 at the SBC Center after defeating their Southwest Division rivals for the third successive time this season.

San Antonio survived a late Dallas comeback attempt to improve to 30-8 overall, putting the Spurs six games ahead of the second-place Mavericks (22-12).

Ginobili made three free throws in the final seconds to preserve the win for the team with the second-best record in the NBA.

Tony Parker collected 12 points and nine rebounds for the Spurs while Rasho Nesterovic had 12 rebounds and eight points.

Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 36 points and 14 rebounds but missed a desperation 80-foot shot at the buzzer.

Jerry Stackhouse grabbed 17 points for the Mavs while Michael Finley chipped in with 15.

In Indianapolis, Jermaine O'Neal notched 29 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Indiana Pacers past the Phoenix Suns 101-83.

O'Neal added six blocked shots for the Pacers, who also got 18 points and three steals from Jamaal Tinsley.

Steve Nash left the game with a bruised thigh in the second quarter as his Suns team lost two consecutive games for only the second time this season. Amare Stoudemire led Phoenix with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

In Charlotte, Pau Gasol picked up 19 points as the Memphis Grizzlies routed the Bobcats 109-89.

James Posey added 17 points for the Grizzlies, winners of 10 of their last 13. Emeka Okafor had 17 points and 12 rebounds for Charlotte.

In Philadelphia, Allen Iverson registered 32 points and 10 assists to help the 76ers beat the Toronto Raptors 106-96.

Kenny Thomas added 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Sixers while Kyle Korver had 15 points. Donyell Marshall scored 20 points for Toronto.

In Boston, Ricky Davis amassed 30 points off the bench as the Celtics overcame the Atlanta Hawks 106-94.

Paul Pierce added 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Celtics, who have won seven of their last eight home games. Antoine Walker led Atlanta with 21 points and 17 rebounds.

In Auburn Hills, Richard Hamilton claimed 26 points as the Detroit Pistons spoiled Grant Hill's first game against his former team for five years with a 101-94 triumph over the Orlando Magic.

Chauncey Billups had 19 points for the Pistons, who are on a season-high, four-game winning streak. Steve Francis had 31 points for Orlando and Hill 17.

In New Orleans, Dan Dickau registered a career-high 25 points on six three-pointers as the lowly Hornets won for the third time in four games, defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 112-106.

Baron Davis added 22 points for New Orleans (5-30). Damon Stoudemire poured in a franchise-record 54 points but Portland still lost for the sixth time in seven outings.

In Milwaukee, Larry Hughes had 23 points and eight assists as the Washington Wizards edged the Bucks 105-103.

Antawn Jamison added 22 points for the Wizards. Michael Redd led Milwaukee with 20.

In Seattle, Ray Allen contributed 22 points to steer the SuperSonics to a 103-84 rout of the Golden State Warriors.

Danny Fortson added 13 points and 11 rebounds in only 21 minutes for the Sonics. Speedy Claxton had 27 points for the Warriors and Troy Murphy claimed 20 points and 13 rebounds.

In Denver, Latrell Sprewell picked up 29 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves ended a seven-game road losing streak with a 93-83 win over the Nuggets.

Kevin Garnett added 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the T-Wolves. Kenyon Martin had 23 points to lead Denver.

In Los Angeles, Corey Maggette hit the winning basket at the buzzer as the Clippers edged the Miami Heat 114-112 in double overtime.

Elton Brand had 29 points and 14 rebounds for the Clippers and Maggette added 19 points. Shaquille O'Neal piled up 39 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat.
