India's Karan Rastogi went down to sixth seed Bjorn Phau of Germany 4-6, 2-6 in the qualifying singles of the 32nd ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam on Saturday.
The 18-year-old, who was awarded a wildcard for the tournament, after winning the ABN Amro Challenge Cup in Mumbai last December, was thoroughly outplayed by the 25-year-old German.
In the other matches of the day, second seed Ivo Minar of the Czech Republic beat another wildcard Steven Korteling of the Netherlands 6-2, 7-6 (3).
