French Open 2004 - Day 4
Top seed Roger Federer of Switzerland secured a place in the third round with an easy 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 victory over Germany's Nicolas Kiefer.
The 22-year-old will next face three-time French Open champion Gustavo Kuerten of Brazil.
"I'm looking forward to it. It's a great match for the tournament and for us too. We haven't played each other very often in our careers," Federer said.
