Real Madrid striker Ronaldo said the club's fans had every right to jeer the team during their 3-2 defeat at home to Real Mallorca on Saturday.
It was Real's fourth defeat in five matches, an appalling run of form that has effectively handed the Primera Liga title to Valencia, who now need two points from their final three games to clinch their second title in three seasons.
"It has been a terrible end to the season," Brazilian international Ronaldo told reporters. "We are trying very hard but nothing is going right.
"I can assure the fans that we are suffering as a result of what is happening but they have every right to jeer and whistle us."
Valencia can clinch the championship at UEFA Cup hopefuls Sevilla on Sunday. Ronaldo said second-placed Real were resigned to battling it out with Barcelona for the runners-up spot.
"All that remains for us to do is to win our final two matches and make sure we finish second in the league," he said.
Ronaldo and fellow countryman Roberto Carlos will miss Real's next match at relegated Murcia as they face suspensions after being booked on Saturday.
