India tennis sensation and qualifier Sania Mirza scored an emphatic victory over Jennifer Touchband of the United States, winning 6-1, 6-1 to enter the pre-quarter-finals of the Chris Evert ITF women's tournament being held in Florida, US.
After a fresh four-week coaching stint with Bob Brett in Italy, Sania, who has shown improvement in her game by a few notches with strong serves followed by powerful ground strokes, baffled her
opponent from start to finish to move into the next round.
Sania will meet Jewel Paterson (USA) in the pre-quarter-finals. Paterson had pulled off an upset victory over sixth seed Xie Yan Ze of China to advance to the last 16 stage.
