A player, who the tennis cognoscenti constantly refer to as the most gifted on the Tour. Federer would like a Grand Slam title in Melbourne, and then a rise of one slot above Roddick to become the world No 1. But he has never gone beyond the fourth round at Melbourne Park.
"I've experienced a lot of ups and downs in my career. It hasn't been just ups, it's really from the downs where you learn a lot," says Federer, who is often said to be very lazy.
