Ritwik-Ghosal lose in doubles final

The Indian pair of Ritwik Bhattacharya and Saurav Ghosal went down fighting 1-3 to defending champions Australia in the men's final of the World Doubles Squash Championship at Chennai.

Bhattacharya-Ghosal lost to Byron Davis and Cameron White 4-9, 3-9, 9-8, 7-9 in 100 minutes, the longest match of the championship.

Australia also won the women's doubles and mixed doubles finals.

The women's doubles title was won by Grinham sisters, Rachel and Natalie, when they defeated Louise Crome-Lara Petera of New Zealand 9-7, 9-4, 9-2 in 29 minutes.

Rachel Grinham bagged a double when she clinched the mixed doubles title partnering David Palmer.

The Australian duo overcame Shelly Kitchen and Glen Wilson of New Zealand 11-8, 9-8, 9-8 in an encounter lasting 45 minutes.
