Arsenal's lethal weapons
Manager Arsene Wenger signed Henry as a winger in 1999. But convinced him that his talent would be best utilised in a striker's role. That move transformed both Arsenal and the player.
Henry has scored 29 goals -- the most in the league -- in 33 league appearances for Arsenal this season. He is the first player to be named player of the year by the Professional Footballers' Association for two seasons in a row.
The Frenchman creates, distributes, scores from every conceivable angle and distance, and even defends when the need arises.
"I am quite lucky to play in a special team," said the 26-year-old. "The strikers grab the headlines but I have special players around me. We play as a team and we are willing to fight for each other, and you need that ability."
