The Italian Grand Prix
Michael Schumacher celebrates after winning the race. He finished ahead of Juan Pablo Montoya and Rubens Barrichello.
Schumacher's average speed of 247.585 kph, over the 53 laps at Monza on Sunday, also exceeded the previous record of 242.615 kph set at Monza in 1971.
It was Schumacher's fifth win of the 2003 season and 50th as a Ferrari driver.
