Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo is pushed away from the ball by Jiri Homola.
In the other group 'G' match, Lazio and Besiktas drew 1-1. The result meant that Besiktas need to beat Chelsea in their final group match to advance to the next stage.
After 5 matches, Besiktas are second in the group with 7 points, while Sparta and Lazio have 5 points each.
