Ralf Schumacher led a Williams one-two in the European Grand Prix, at Nurburgring, Germany, with Juan Pablo Montoya finishing second.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello was third for Ferrari, ahead of Fernando Alonso in the Renault.

Michael Schumacher, who finished in fifth place, became the first Formula One driver to score 1,000 points, taking his tally to 1,003.
