Manchester United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy scores the first goal during the UEFA Champions League Group 'E' match against VfB Stuttgart at Old Trafford in Manchester, England.

The English champions cruised to a 2-0 win.

Van Nistelrooy headed the opener in first-half stoppage time to equal Denis Law's 28-goal European scoring record for the club. It was Nistelrooy's 51st goal in his last 52 matches at Old Trafford.
