Australian Open 2001 Agassi succesfully defended a Grand Slam Championship for the first time in his career when he beat Arnaud Clement 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 to win the Australian Open for the third time. With his seven Grand Slam titles, Agassi is now 10th on the men's list of Grand Slam winners. He and Wilander are the only men to win three Australian Open titles in the Open era. Agassi now joins a select group of Grand Slam Champions who have won a Grand Slam past the age of 30, and having won 4 Grand Slam titles since turning 29, does not seem to show any signs of a letup.
