Dr Bhargawa is manager for Australia tour

Dr Bhargawa of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association has been appointed manager of the Indian cricket team which will tour Australia later this month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced in Bombay today.

The team, which will play three Tests and a triangular one-day series involving Pakistan and hosts Australia, will leave Bombay for Australia on November 22, and will play its first match, a four-day game against Queensland, from November 26.

Following is the itinerary:
Tests:
December 10-14, 1999: First Test, Adelaide
December 26-30, 1999: Second Test, Melbourne
January 2-6, 2000: Third Test, Sydney

Triangular series (only India's matches):
January 10: India vs Pakistan, Brisbane (D/N)
January 12: India vs Australia, Melbourne
January 14: India vs Australia, Sydney (D/N)
January 21: India vs Pakistan, Hobart
January 25: India vs Pakistan, Adelaide (D/N)
January 26: India vs Australia, Adelaide (D/N)
January 28: India vs Pakistan, Perth (D/N)
January 30: India vs Australia, Perth (D/N)
February 2: First final, Melbourne (D/N)
February 4: Second final, Sydney (D/N)
February 6: Third final, Sydney (D/N)
