A miraculous escape

A supplies truck driver had a miraculous escape after he was buried by an avalanche along the Kupwara-Keran road stretch on Sunday afternoon.

A team of the Beacon personnel, who saw the incident, launched a successful operation to rescue the trucker.

 


Muslims shower petals on Hindu devotees

Devotees at Varanasi's famous Vishwanath temple stood in long queues on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, waiting for their turn to perform the holy rituals.

People from the Muslim community were seen showering petals on them to give out the message of brotherhood in line with the Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb.

This tehzeeb refers to the fusion of Hindu-Muslim cultures found in northern states like Uttar Pradesh, especially the region that falls between the banks of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers.

 


Rahul teaches Japanese martial artS in Kerala

Rahul Gandhi visited St Teresa's College in Kochi on March 22 and interacted with students.

The Congress MP, who is well versed in the Japanese martial art Aikido, also demonstrated its techniques. 

He showed how a person can use his or her energy to hold their ground and resist being pushed by others.

 


Kangana's grand entry at Thalaivi trailer launch

Kangana Ranaut made a head-turning entry at the trailer launch of her coming movie Thalaivi in Mumbai.
