Top JeM commander killed in Kashmir encounter

Security forces on Saturday morning killed a top commander of Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army launched a joint operation in the village after receiving a tip-off on Tunda's location.

Tunda, a Pakistani national, was the senior-most 'commander' of the JeM.

He operated in north and central Kashmir and carried a bounty of Rs 10 lakh for his arrest.

The police described the operation as a major success against the JeM in north Kashmir.
