Denying reports of his resignation, Karnataka Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda has said the question of a change in leadership does not arise in Karnataka.
On his arrival at Bangalore from New Delhi at 11 pm on Thursday, he informed that he had been assured by both Bharatiya Janata Party president Nithin Gadkari and senior leader L K Advani that he would not be changed and would continue as the chief minister.
"They spoke with me about the budget that I had presented and said that they were happy with the work I had done. Yes, there is minor turbulence in the party, and it shall be resolved," Gowda said.

BJP state president K S Eshwarappa sounded upset about the rumours of a resignation.
"It is the job of mischief mongers. Just because we met with the national president twice on Thursday does not mean Gowda has resigned. People who have been floating this rumour have nothing better to do. I don't know how to tell you that Gowda will not be changed and he has not resigned," he said.

Law minister Suresh Kumar, who travelled with the CM on Thursday said that the information was wrong. This was also confirmed by senior BJP leader, Ananth Kumar and BJP General Secretary and in-charge of Karnataka affairs Dhamendra Pradhan.
While the faction opposing former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa have returned to Bengaluru, the other camp will stay in Delhi another day. Yeddyurappa was clearly told that there would be no change in the leadership and was asked to wait until April 1 for further discussion on the matter.
