All this and more in this week’s Dilli Gupshup
Is the Bharatiya Janata Party gearing up to crack the whip to put its house in order?
Alarmed by the growing voices of dissent and potshots at BJP’s poll mascot Narendra Modi, the BJP leadership is contemplating taking disciplinary action against erring members to send out a strong signal that criticising Modi within the BJP would have “zero tolerance”.
It is believed that BJP chief Rajnath Singh is of firm view that a ‘Laxman Rekha’ has to be drawn, but Modi himself is said to be tad reluctant.
The seasoned campaigner thinks action against dissenters would be lapped up by his detractors and media alike kicking another controversy.

Away from public glare, Team Rahul Gandhi is creating havoc of sorts in the grand old party.
The All India Congress Committee trio of Mohan Prakash, Madhusudan Mistry and C P Joshi, claiming to be general secretaries handpicked by Rahul, are taking on the old guard.
Prakash’s report on election-bound Madhya Pradesh informs Rahul that ego, turf-war and one-upmanship among Digvijaya Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Suresh Pachauri and Kamal Nath may help BJP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan secure another term in office.
Rahul has been told to either dismantle stranglehold of regional satraps or let the Congress perish.
In Uttar Pradesh, Mistry is busy sidelining Union ministers Sriprakash Jaiswal, R P N Singh, Jitin Prasad, Salman Khurshid and others.

Former AICC general secretary Choudhury Birendra Singh is a bitter man these days.
Birendra is now beginning to realise why he could not get into Union cabinet despite getting indication from the Prime Minister’s Office hours before June 18 cabinet reshuffle.
Birendra thinks Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda spoiled his chances.
Apparently, minutes after getting the PMO call, Birendra informed Hooda. But when the final list of ministers came out, his name was missing.
Now Birendra wants to team up with Union minister Shelja Kumari to get even with Hooda.
