Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday criticised the Congress for not doing enough to curtail corruption, black money and militancy in Uttar Pradesh.
Baba Ramdev described Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh as a piece of garbage and rejected material and warned that Rahul Gandhi was following in the latter's footsteps.
"Earlier, mentor (Digvijay Singh) used to attack Baba (Ramdev). But the mentor is rejected one. Now, disciple (Rahul Gandhi) has begun doing so. Garbage (Digvijay Singh) of Madhya Pradesh has arrived in Uttar Pradesh and creating danger. Generally, people bury garbage in the soil. I am not advocating that somebody should be buried, but such dangerous garbage must be uprooted," Baba Ramdev told the media in Noida.

The Congress, he said, was a party of crooks. "After independence nearly Rs 4 lakh crore has been looted. This party was not only a mute spectator to that plunder, but also cooperated in this plunder, shielded the corrupt and encouraged graft in the country," Baba Ramdev said.
He also slammed the Congress for suggesting that Sonia Gandhi cried when she saw photographs of the 2008 Batla House encounter.

"Militants have killed more 1,00,000 innocent people, then they are not angry and then they did not cry," Baba Ramdev said.
Polls in Uttar Pradesh are being viewed as an opportunity for India's major parties to re-establish or strengthen their foothold in the country's fifth largest and most populous state.
Polling for 403 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh began on February 8 and would conclude on March 3. Results would be declared on March 6.
