Restoration of power to Srinagar came as a big relief to the locals who remained without electricity for the past 48-hours facing multiple difficulties in sub-zero temperatures.

Absence of power had severely affected the water supply in the city and other towns. All electrical gadgets could not be operated and routine life in the Valley was badly hit.
