Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today said Congress would take stock of the manner in which Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was conducting his yatra in Srikakulam district.

Talking to mediapersons in Hyderabad, Rosaiah said he would not be sending any report to the party high command on Jagan's 'Odarpu yatra'.

When pointed out that the campaign was being conducted in a pompous manner in contravention of the party directive, he said he had no information about it as he was busy with the assembly business.

"As chief minister, I have nothing to do with it. The party will take stock of the yatra. But the government will take care of the security aspects to maintain law and order," Rosaiah said.

He denied there was any volte face on his part on the yatra issue. "There is no change in my words. There is no need for me to do that. The contradiction is only in one's understanding," he said.

"During the interaction with the media yesterday afternoon before leaving for New Delhi, I only quoted what Jagan mentioned in his open letter two days ago that AICC president Sonia Gandhi did not appear favourably inclined towards the yatra," he noted.

"As soon I landed in New Delhi, I was asked why the Congress high command was blocking the yatra. I denied that."

Rosaiah also maintained that there was no change in the party high command's thinking on the Kadapa MP's tour. "The party will not have one stand in the morning and a different one in the evening, yesterday or today," he observed.
