Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Jan Kranti Party patron Kalyan Singh on Tuesday said he was returning to his parent party Bharatiya Janata Party and the date for his re-entry will be announced soon.
"Several rounds of talks have already been held with state and national-level leaders and a final decision on it (re-induction) will be taken after a meeting with party chief Nitin Gadkari," he told reporters.
"As campaigning for assembly polls in some states is going on and leaders are busy there, a date for my return has not been finalised as yet but it will be announced soon," the former BJP leader said.
Singh, a one-time poster boy of the saffron party, said he had a "formula" for strengthening the BJP.
If accepted, the 'formula' could take the party to new heights, he said, adding that he would leave no stone unturned to make it strong in Uttar Pradesh.
Last week, the former chief minister had said he favoured merging his party with the BJP at an appropriate time to unite 'Rashtravadi' (nationalist) forces.
