Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati declared on Saturday that her party was not in favour of foreign direct investment in retail.

Talking to media persons, she said, "The BSP is fully opposed to FDI in retail. We are not with the UPA government's decision in this regard."

However, on being asked if she would choose to withdraw her party's support to the Congress-led Union government, Mayawati said, "I have convened a huge rally of the party in Lucknow on October 9, which will be followed by a meeting of our party national executive on the following day. There we will take a final call on the question of continuing our support to the UPA government."

Referring to the hike in diesel price, she said, "Our party is also against the UPA government's decision to raise the diesel price."

Flaying the Akhilesh government as a "non-performer regime", she said, "The Samajwadi Party government has been a failure on all fronts and I would give it a big zero out of ten."
