On the occasion of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s 125th birth anniversary, Maharashtra Chief Minister joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

He was seen sweeping the streets of Mumbai, near Metro Cinema along with BJP leader Raj Purohit.

The ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ was launched nationwide to focus on sanitation, hygiene and waste management.

Earlier in the day, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar too took a broom in his hands in a gesture signalling a new found bonhomie between the two parties.

Pawar, accompanied by his family members who included his daughter and MP Supriya Sule, former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar as well as party general secretary D P Tripathi, swept a road in his hometown Baramati in full glare of cameras.
