1993 blasts: Dutt's friend Russi Mulla let off

Sanjay Dutt's aide Russi Mulla, who helped destroy the firearms that Dutt had obtained during the 1993 Mumbai blasts, was let off under Probation of Offenders Act.

The special TADA court asked him to pay Rs 1 lakh as fine. He was given a suspended sentence of one year, in view of his advanced age and good behaviour.

Yuusf Nulwalla was sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for five years under the Arms Act for aiding Dutt to dispose of AK-56 rifle.

Kersi Adjania was sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for two years and fined Rs 25,000. Adjania sought time to surrender and the court said it will decide in the afternoon.

Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to six years imprisonment.
