The government first banned 857 porn Web sites, cancelled that order, then told the courts that it could not ban porn Web sites.
In another matter, before the Supreme Court, the attorney general argued that privacy was not a fundamental right. Then the government, arguing against decriminalising defamation laws, cited the citizen's right to privacy as one of its reasons for its opposition.
