The Indo-US relations on Monday came up for review as an American Congressional delegation led by Senator Judd Gregg met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The visiting Congress members are understood to have discussed the status of the relationship and prospects of its growth in various areas.

The delegation is in India to review the US Agency for International Development (USAID) projects in India, official sources said.

The USAID has several projects covering various sectors in India and the assistance is provided through government, the private sector and other donors.

USAID projects in health sector are aimed at increasing access to family health care, nourish needy mothers and children, fight infectious diseases and prevent HIV/AIDS.

USAID implements HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment as part of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a U.S. Government-wide effort.

India is a priority country under the plan, one of the largest health care initiatives of its kind.
