Memon's execution is slated on July 30 at Nagpur Central Jail. After the hanging, his body would be handed over to his family members, police said.
The 53-year-old's body will be brought to his residence at Mahim in Central Mumbai.
"His burial might take place in the city," said a police officer, requesting anonymity.
"Right from the airport to his house and at the burial ground, police will maintain tight security arrangements," he said.
As a preventive action, police would detain some people with criminal antecedents and keep strict vigil at sensitive places in the metropolis.
