Three militants were killed in an ongoing operation near the Line of Control in the Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday, according to a defence spokesperson.
The army has been conducting searches in the area for the past couple of days. An army trooper was
killed in an encounter Wednesday.
In a statement, a defence spokesperson said on Friday evening, “ In an encounter in the Tangdhar sector, army has killed three terrorists.”
He said the bodies of slain militants along with their weapons have been recovered.
“Till last reports, the operation was still in progress,” he added.
