India said on Monday that it has information about involvement of Pakistani-supported terrorists in the Mumbai train blasts and that terrorist training camps were operational on Pakistani soil.

"We have information about involvement of Pakistan-supported terrorists in Mumbai bomb blasts," Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee said. However, he did not elaborate.

Mukherjee said that infiltration of terrorists from across the borders was going on non-stop and that independent satellite photos had shown that terrorist training camps on Pakistani soil were operational.

India had taken 'concrete measures to revive ties with Pakistan respecting the sentiments of both citizens', Mukherjee said in his broadcast to the armed forces personnel on the eve of Independence day.

He regretted that Islamabad had 'not understood India's sentiments'.

"Infiltration from across the border is going on non-stop. We have information about involvement of Pakistan supported terrorists in Mumbai bomb blasts. It is reported that satellites have clicked some pictures of terrorists camps in Pakistan where militant tranings are being provided to terrorists," Mukherjee said.

He said Pakistan should get rid of such activities and try to 'behave like a good neighbour'.

In his broadcast, Mukherjee assured the armed forces that the drive to modernise the forces would continue and steps were underway to augment air and naval power to meet future requirements.
