At least five Pakistan-based militant outfits active in Jammu and Kashmir and one Bangladesh-based extremist organization are among the 15 organisations banned in the United Kingdom, official sources said on Friday.

The five Pakistan-based organisations are Harakat-ul-Jihad-ul-Islami, Jundallah, Khuddam ul-Islam, Lashkar-e Jhangvi and Sipah-e Sahab Pakistan. The Bangladesh-based outfit is Harakat-ul-Jihad-ul-Islami (Bangladesh).

Others named in the banned list are: Al Ittihad Al Islamia, Ansar Al Islam, Ansar Al Sunna, Groupe Islamique Combattant Marocain, Harakat-ul-Mujahideen/Alami, Hezb-e

Islami Gulbuddin, Islamic Jihad Union, Jamaat ul-Furquan and Libyan Islamic Fighting Group.

The aim of Jundallah is rejection of democracy of even the most Islamic-oriented style, and to establish a caliphate based on Sharia law, in addition to achieving accession of all Kashmir to Pakistan.

Sipah-Sahaba Pakistan and Lashkar-e Jhangvi (LeJ) aimed to transform Pakistan, by violent means, into a Sunni state under the total control of Sharia law.

Another objective of SSP and LeJ is to have all Shia declared Kafirs and to participate in the destruction of other religions, notably Hinduism, Judaism and Christianity.

Khuddam ul-Islam aims to unite Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan and establish a radical Islamist state in Pakistan.

Its avowed aim is to 'destroy' India and the US.

Harakat-Ul-Jihad-Al-Islami wants accession of all Kashmir to Pakistan by violent means and to spread terror throughout India. It has been targeting Indian security positions in Jammu and Kashmir.
