Telangana: UPA to announce 'big package'

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday directed Telangana Congress members of legislative assembly and Parliament to withdraw their resignations, paving way for United Progressive Alliance to come out with a package for Telangana.

Sonia had appointed party general secretary Gulam Nabi Azad appointed nodal solution for the Telangana issue.

A team of Telangana Congress MPs have reached Delhi and are likely to meet Azad, to discuss a 'broad-based package' on Thursday. The package is likely to be announced in Parliament on August 4.
