The Shri Krishna Commission report on Telangana may be submitted on Wednesday itself. According to sources the report will be submitted to Home Minister P Chidambaram by Wednesday afternoon since he would not be available in New Delhi on December 31  as he will be visiting Arunachal Pradesh on that day.

However, the contents of the report may be disclosed in a formal briefing only on January 5 or 6, 2011. The media has been advised not to speculate on the report and report the matter carefully since it is an extremely sensitive issue.

Sources also add that once the report is out, the Central government would begin the process of implementing it.

At the meeting of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh that was held on Wednesday in which finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, home minister P Chidambaram, defence minister A K Antony and Congress in-charge for Andhra Pradesh affairs and law minister M Veerappa Moily were present, they discussed the manner in which they have to go about the issue.

They also discussed the setting up of another states reorgnisation committee which would look into the issue of smaller states. At the meeting it was also decided that all the recommendations made by the committee would be implemented by another committee which would be directly under the Prime Minister.

However, the Hyderabad police are taking no chances and have turned the city into a fortress. The Osmania University alone has 4000 security personnel guarding it since it is expected that trouble may emerge from there like it did the last time.

Around 50 companies as sought by the state of Andhra Pradesh have been pressed into action. In addition to this members of the Border Security Force and also the Central Industrial Security Force will also guard the entire state.

The focus of the security would also be on those areas of Hyderabad especially at the IT hubs and Hitec City which has a lot of migrant population.

Security has also been spread across the state and there are police parties and also CRPF companies deployed at Visakhapatnam, Anantapur, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam city, Vijyawada and Guntur.
