Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Friday claimed that the Congress tried to divert people's attention from coalgate by introducing the reservation bill but failed in its attempt.
"Congress' attempt to divert attention of the public from coalgate and create divisions in the political parties by introducing the reservation bill failed, as everybody realised the party's motive on this bill, which has been pending in Parliament since 1995. Congress party has been exposed on this issue," he said on the sidelines of a function in Vadodara.
Talking about Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, Swamy said he was still a 'bachha' (child) and "not capable" of becoming the prime minister of the country.
He also said that it was "ridiculous" to describe the 2014 Lok Sabha poll as battle between Narendra Modi and Rahul.
"Modi is the most suitable for PM's job as he has done a remarkable job in various sectors in his state, which is praised all over the country and world," he added.
