Century's first solar eclipse

The century's first solar eclipse occured on Saturday morning and was visible in many parts of northern India, where devotees thronged several rivers for a holy dip.

The eclipse was visible between 0735 IST and 0839

IST in Delhi, Jaipur, Srinagar, Agra and Haryana.

In Haryana, thousands of devotees gathered on the banks of Sannehit and Brahm Sarovars in Kurukshetra amid tight security.
