7 CRPF men injured in militant attack in Srinagar

Seven Central Reserve Police Force troopers were injured in a militant attack in Rainawari in Srinagar on Wednesday morning.

A senior police officer said, "Militants fired indiscriminately at the CRPF vehicle in Rainawari chowk."

Seven CRPF jawans have been injured in the firing of which two are critical. The injured have been taken to a
hospital, said a CRPF spokesperson.

Official sources said the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet while the pillion had covered his face with a mask.

The area has been surrounded for searches.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
