The Supreme Court Bar Association on Wednesday criticised the controversial remarks of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that there were instances when court judgements had been delivered for money.

"It is a serious allegation against the entire judiciary, which is very irresponsible, especially for a chief minister," SCBA president Pravin Parekh said.

He said SCBA has not taken any decision to move the court against the remarks made by the chief minister. He, however, added that he has heard that some petition is likely to be filed by somebody.

"I have heard that somebody else is going to file a petition," Parekh said.
