The next of the kin of seven Indians who died in the terrorist attack at Al Khobar will be paid a lifetime salary by their employer, Maan Al Sanea.
The seven had died after Al Qaeda terrorists had stormed the residential complex on May 31, killing 22 people from different nationalities.
According to a report in Arab News, the chairman of the Saad Group, Maan Al Sanea, has agreed to pay the next of the kin of the seven Indians a lifetime salary.
Al Sanea told the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Kamaluddin Ahmad, that his company considered the dead Indian employees as still working for the company.
Of the eight Indian casualties, seven were working for the Saad Group, while one, Lawrence Gregory Monis, died in crossfire between the terrorists and police.
Monis was working as assistant general manager with the Al Sakhar Insurance firm at Al Khobar, and was living in Saudi Arabia for nearly two decades.
Arab News also reported quoting Ahmad that the bodies of all the victims will be repatriated at earliest and will reach India by Saturday or Sunday.
"Lawrence Monis' wife has completed all the procedures and she will be handed his body soon," Ahmed told Arab News.
