Sadhvi's family members refuse to cremate father

The family members of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, accused in the Malegaon blasts case, have decided not to cremate her father unless she is granted permission to attend the funeral.

Sadhvi Pragya’s father Doctor Chandrapal Singh, aged 72, breathed his last due to prolonged illness in a hospital at Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, His body has been brought to a village called Lahar in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.

However, family members have decided not to perform funeral rights until his second daughter Sadhvi Pragya arrives for the performance of last rights.

Pragya Singh Thakur is in  judicial custody as an accused in the Malegaon blast and is currently lodged at the District Jail in Bhopal. She is also implicated as an accused in the Sunil Joshi murder case.

Sadhvi's lawyer Advocate Ganesh Sovani would be moving a 'temporary bail application' before at the residence of the Special NIA & MCOCA court ,with a prior intimation to the NIA to seek her release for a temporary period of thirteen days as per the provisions in the jail  manual.  

She is willing to give an undertaking of her attendance every morning and evening at the nearest local police station, her advocate informed.
