Corporate lobbyist Niira Radia on Wednesday met Central Bureau of Investigation's Director A P Singh and reportedly raised the issue of a lawyer allegedly threatening her.
Radia, who has been questioned by the agency officials in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam, met Singh at his North Block office for nearly 20 minutes.
During the meeting, she is said to have produced a copy of a letter which has been addressed to the CBI director, in which a lawyer has threatened to expose her before the agency, sources said.
The CBI has not received any such letter so far and it could be aimed at harassing her, they said.
However, questions have been raised as to why she did not approach the police in case someone was harassing her.
The CBI is likely to file the second supplementary chargesheet in the 2G spectrum scam probe in the next few weeks and Radia is one among the over 125 witnesses in the case.
It has already filed its first chargesheet in the case on April 2, naming nine individuals including former telecom minister A Raja and three companies.
It later added five more accused in the case including Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam Member of Parliament Kanimozhi in its first supplementary chargesheet filed on April 25.
