Mahesh Sav, the man who sent the country's security establishment into a tizzy by sending a parcel containing a gun and cartridges to President A P J Abdul Kalam, was arrested on Tuesday evening from his native Mujaheedpur village in Patna district of Bihar.

SP (Patna rural) Gangeshwar Prasad Sinha said Sav did not resist his arrest.
Sinha said Sav, 40, claimed during his interrogation that he had sent a 'toy' pistol in the parcel.
''The man appears to be of unsound mind,'' Sinha said and added that he does not have any criminal record.
Asked if a case has been registered against Sav, Sinha said the Patna Police is trying to get in touch with their Delhi
counterpart to ascertain whether a case was filed there.
"If the Delhi police have registered a case, Sav will be handed over to them. If not, then we will file a case under relevant sections and proceed against him," Sinha said.
