PM to meet top BJP leaders on Valley unrest

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has invited senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Adavani, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley to discuss United Progressive Alliance government's political initiative in Kashmir.

This meeting will take place on Monday at 5 pm, at 7 Race Course Road

BJP is likey to present a note to the prime minister during the interaction.

Recently, PM had met Communist Party of India Marxist general secretary Prakash Karat on the issue.

The Valley has been rocked by violence following the death of a teenager on June 11 after he was allegedly hit by a tear smoke shell near Rajouri Kadal area of Srinagar.

Street protests broke out in the Valley which has claimed 65 lives so far.
