Prime Minister Manmohan Singh left from Geneva for Washington on a state Visit to the US during which the two countries are expected to take their bilateral relationship to a new level.

After an over-night stay at Geneva, Singh left for the US capital, where a red carpet welcome awaits him as he
lands at the Andrews Air Force Base.

Tomorrow, he will address the US Chamber of Commerce as well as the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. On Tuesday, the Prime Minister will hold discussions with President Barack Obama and other top officials of the US. That evening, Obama will host State Dinner for Singh.
