Touted as the world’s largest cricket stadium in terms of seating capacity, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium (also known as Motera stadium) is being readied to host United States President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Take a look at the venue which is likely to host the ‘Namaste Trump’ event.

The stadium is being developed at a cost of roughly Rs 800 crore and will have a maximum seating capacity of 1,10,000, beating the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which can seat 100,024, as the world’s largest cricket stadium. Photograph: Amit Dave/Reuters

Run by Gujarat Cricket Association, the Motera stadium will house a main cricket ground along with two smaller cricket grounds, four locker rooms, 75 air-conditioned corporate boxes and a club house for GCA members. The other exciting features of the stadium are state-of-art dressing rooms, food courts and hospitality area in each stand, and indoor practice pitches for unfavourable weather. It will also have the largest vehicle parking within the stadium premises with a capacity of 3000 four-wheelers and 10,000 two-wheelers. Photograph: Amit Dave/Reuters
