Have a sweet tooth? Well, this jalebi is sure to satisfy your sweet cravings. A restaurant in Mumbai has made a 18-kilo jalebi to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
With support from celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Sanskriti broke the Guinness World Record for the largest imarti in the world on May 3 in the Indian sweets category.
The restaurant broke the record with a 18 kg jalebi with a diameter of 9 feet. Headed by Gaurav Chaturvedi, a team of 12 people took three hours and 53 minutes to make it.
The sweetmeat broke the previous record of of 8.2 feet.
Besides this, the team also made a world record by making the 'biggest imarti’. Weighing in at a whopping 37 kg, it has a diameter of nine feet and took 3 hours and 48 minutes.
“It’s a proud moment for us and I’m very happy that the purpose with which we attempted this event is achieved,” Sapna Chaturvedi, founder-director of Sanskriti restaurant, said in a statement.
