Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attended the Dev Deepawali Mahotsav at the Ghats of Varanasi.

Modi witnessed the spectacle of Dev Deepawali in which rows of lamps were lit on the bank of Ganga.

He also offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple.

After offering prayers at the temple, Modi departed from Raj Ghat and viewed Dev Deepawali celebrations from Raj Ghat to Chet Singh Ghat.

Before flying back to New Delhi, he also visited the Sarnath Archeological site and watched a light and sound show.

He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
